FALL 2022 Dates Have Been Set!  October 25th through October 31nd, 2022

This OnBoardSUP paddleboard trip with Sea Trek combines paddling and yoga with adventure. Each morning, you will have the opportunity for sunrise meditation, and each day there will be time for OnBoardSUP Yoga, paddling, water play, hiking, and fabulous meals. While people of all yoga skill levels are encouraged, it’s best to have some Paddling experience before this trip.

You will eat fresh foods, be given time to explore, relax, fine-tune your yoga and experience lots of open water paddling. Leigh has years of experience with paddling, yoga and outdoor adventures.

We will paddle (fully supported) around and between the islands on Stand Up Paddle Boards.  Each night we will camp on beautiful beaches, gaze at stars and if lucky, listen to whales and dolphins breathing in the night. The snorkeling is fabulous and the marine life is abundant.

We wake each morning to sunrise meditation, a healthy breakfast and OnBoardSUP Yoga. The days unfold with delicious fresh foods, invigorating paddles, and the exploration of the islands’ waters and rich marine life through swimming and snorkeling. The trip is fully supported by Sea Trek’s staff and a skiff, which carries your gear. A complete kitchen and all the amenities for luxurious island camping are on board. Leigh has led 2-3 trips a year in this region since 2010, and is excited to share this protected National Marine Park with you.

Sea Trek will provide all the necessary gear. You can either rent or bring your sleeping bag and pad. Flying into Loreto is easy. Loreto is a small Mission town about half way down the East side of Baja California. There are several options for travel and you may want to add a day or two on the front or back of your trip to explore. As soon as you complete your registration, it is a good idea to book your air. Sea Trek will send you the details of how to finalize all of you trip arrangements.

You will be greeted when you arrive in Loreto and meet your trip companions. A van will be waiting to drive to our trip launch site. It is a short trip to the foot of the gorgeous Giganta Range. You will board a Sea Trek support boat and will be transported to your first beach on the islands. A beautiful camp will be waiting, ready for you to settle in and take a deep breath. After you get organized, enjoy a bite to eat and then get ready for your first OnBoardSUP yoga class with Leigh.

Upon arrival, we can swim, snorkel and will have OnBoardSUP Yoga to stretch and unwind. We provide plenty of shade and cool drinks. After dinner, the magic of Baja’s night time sky appears. You will be provided a full gear list. Bring a good book!

After each sunrise meditation session we’ll enjoy a delicious Mexican breakfast and OnBoardSUP Yoga. Most days we also have yoga in the afternoon. The days are filled with paddles to magic coves around the island, and an afternoon downwind paddle or two, if the wind cooperates. Meals are fresh and the food is amazing.  The Sea Trek staff provide all we could ask for and more.

We will cross the deep-water channels, explore deserted beaches and come to know this beautiful island group. From the islands, off to the west you can see the rising peaks of the Sierra Giganta range and the coast to the south. It’s not unusual for dolphins to pass by our cove in the mornings or to see some of the resident Fin whales.

The last day:

There is still time for one more sunrise meditation and OnBoardSUP Yoga on the glassy Sea as we watch the sunrise turning dawn into morning. We will pack up and paddle to our original launch place.  We will be shuttled into town, where we will spend our last night in the beautiful, small town of Loreto. We will have plenty of time to prepare for our flight home and head to the airport the following morning. Some travelers opt to stay in Loreto or travel North or South and extend their vacation by several days or a week!
